Colin Guare
Colin Guare, a 25-year-old aspiring writer and commercial fisherman, resides in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire. He is the beloved and only son of Dr. Guare. Colin’s writings about the development of teenagers and young adults are not only based on his observations and research but also influenced by his own work and personal experiences. Having been diagnosed with ADD during his early years, Colin possesses a deep understanding of the challenges and possible solutions that individuals of all ages face when dealing with deficits in executive skills.
Furthermore, Colin has gained extensive practical experience by working as a substitute teacher, full-time paraprofessional, and respite care provider in public schools and local communities. He has actively supported children with autism, learning disorders, and difficulties in executive functioning. Through his writing for books and websites, Colin aims to bring together the extensive knowledge of executive functioning from Dr. Dawson and Dr. Guare and apply it to real-life situations.
Apart from his passion for rowing and reading, Colin finds great joy in spending quality time with his friends and family. Currently, he works as a deckhand on the fishing vessel Ellen Diane, and his happiness knows no bounds when he is out on the water.
