Section 1

Once upon a time, there existed a queen who gave birth to a son who was extremely unattractive and deformed, to the extent that it was uncertain whether he would even possess a human-like appearance. However, a fairy who happened to be present during the birth of the child assured that despite his physical appearance, he would possess a sharp intellect, the fairy also bestowed upon him the ability to share his level of intelligence with the person he loved the most.

This statement provided some comfort to the grieving queen, who was deeply saddened by the birth of her unsightly child. As it turned out, once the child started to speak, his words were remarkably insightful, and his actions displayed a level of ingenuity that captivated everyone around him.

I apologize for the oversight. It should be noted that at the time of his birth, the child had a small patch of hair on his head, which led to his being called Ricky of the Tuft, with "Ricky" being his surname.

Around seven or eight years later, the queen of a neighboring realm gave birth to twin daughters. The first daughter born was exceptionally beautiful, with a radiance comparable to that of dawn and the queen was overjoyed to such an extent that there were concerns her excitement might negatively affect her health. The very same fairy who had aided in the birth of Ricky of the Tuft was also present at this birth. In an attempt to temper the queen's excitement, the fairy proclaimed that the first twin, despite her beauty, would possess no intelligence and be as foolish as she was beautiful. This caused great distress for the queen. To make matters worse, moments later, the second twin was born, and to the queen's dismay, she was remarkably unattractive.

"Please do not be disheartened, Your Majesty," consoled the fairy. "Your daughter may not have physical beauty, but she will be compensated with a great amount of intelligence that her lack of attractiveness will hardly be noticeable."

"May Heaven hear your prayer," replied the queen. "However, is there any way to endow the elder twin, who possesses such exceptional beauty, with some level of intelligence?"

"Unfortunately, Your Majesty, when it comes to intelligence, there is nothing I can do," responded the fairy. "However, in the realm of beauty, I can certainly be of assistance. As I wish to satisfy your desires, I shall grant your eldest daughter the ability to enhance the beauty of anyone who captivates her heart."

As the years went by, the two princesses became even more exceptional, and people couldn't stop talking about the elder twin's beauty and the younger twin's cleverness.

It is also accurate to say that their flaws became more pronounced as they grew older. The younger twin's appearance became less appealing with each passing moment, while the elder twin's intelligence seemed to diminish by the day. Whenever the elder twin was addressed, she either responded with silence or with foolish and nonsensical statements. Furthermore, she was extremely clumsy and would often break one of the four china vases while attempting to place them on the mantelpiece. She was also unable to drink a glass of water without spilling at least half of it onto her attire.
