Section 1

A long time ago in a distant country, three girls were discussing together in the courtyard, fantasizing what they might do if they married Tsar Saltan. One person predicted that she would arrange an enormous party for everyone on earth. The following declared she would make linen for the whole planet. The third promised the tsar "an heir, charming and courageous above measure."

The discussion was overheard by the tsar, who was standing just outside the gate. Whenever he heard what the last girl said, he understood that he wants to marry her and requested her to become his wife. They wedded that night and had a son shortly thereafter. The other girls were employed as chef and weaver.

After a few months, the tsar was sent to battle and had to say goodbye to his loving queen. While he was in battle, the queen, his wife, gave birth to his son. A horseman was dispatched to the Tsar to deliver the good news. But the two sisters and their friend named Barbarika were so envious of their sister's good fortune that they abducted the messenger and replaced him with their own agent who delivered a letter to the tsar that said: "The queen, your wife, gave birth to neither a son nor a daughter, neither an insect nor an animal, but birthed something unknown t the world.

The tsar felt disgraced when he got the news and sent a note back instructing his wife not to do anything before he returns. When coming back the devious sisters met the horseman, got him drunk, and swapped the tsar's original message with a false one ordering the queen and her infant to be thrown into the ocean.

Obviously, no one could defy a tsar's order, so the soldiers in the palace threw the queen and her infant son into the vessel and drove it into the river. While the queen sobbed inside the barrel, her kid grew bigger by the minute, not by the day. He prayed to the waves to carry them away to the shore. The waters complied, and the boy and his mother got swept up on a desolate island.

They were already hungry by this point, so the son built an arrow and a bow for him out of little branches from trees and started hunting. He overheard a shriek near the water and noticed a poor swan battling with a gigantic black eagle. The lad fired an arrow precisely when the hawk was ready to place its bill in the swan's neck, slaughtering the bird and spreading its blood into the water. "You didn't kill just a simple hawk, but an evil wizard," the white swan stated as he swam up to the boy. I am going to thank you forever for saving me."

The boy went back to his mother and informed her about his trip, and they both fell asleep comfortably, despite the fact that they were still starving and thirsty. They awakened the next day to see a wonderful town in a place where previously there wasn't anything! Beyond the white walls of the city, the two stared at the golden domes of castles and cathedrals. "Oh, all of this was done by the swan!" said the boy. When the two entered the city, crowds of people welcomed them, and anointed the young boy as Prince Gvidon.

Once upon a time, a merchant vessel was sailing near an island when the crew members caught sight of a remarkable fortified town. The cannons of the city signaled the ship to approach the shore. Prince Gvidon warmly received them, offering provisions and beverages. He asked for details about their merchandise and destination, and the sailors disclosed their specialization saying “ Our job is in fur trade and our intended voyage to the realm of Tsar Saltan, beyond the island of Buyan.”

Prince Gvidon, despite being informed by his mother about the incident that led to their expulsion from Tsar Saltan's kingdom, chose to extend his regards to the tsar. He had an unwavering belief in people's inherent goodness and found it difficult to fathom that his own father could be capable of such an act.

As the sailors made preparations to depart from the island, the swan noticed that Prince Gvidon became despondent, and asked him “What happened, why are you sad?” Gvidon told him “I want to see my father”

It was obvious that his thoughts consumed by his longing to see his father, the tsar. Sensing his sorrow, the swan, his faithful companion, transformed him into a minuscule gnat, enabling him to conceal himself within a crevice of the ship's mast as they sailed toward the tsar's realm.

Upon reaching Tsar Saltan's kingdom, the sailors recounted their encounter with the extraordinary city and the cordial Prince Gvidon. Unaware that this very prince was his own son, the tsar expressed his desire to witness the enchanting city.
